Description

Dandelion Full Spectrum herbal tincture by Rhodes Herbs — from seed to shelf, grown and made in small batches. 1 fl oz (30 mL), made with alcohol.

About this herb

“Full spectrum” means the whole dandelion plant — root, leaf, and flower of Taraxacum officinale — prepared together, the way herbalists historically used this plant rather than isolating a single part. The root carries the bitter principles traditionally used to support digestion and liver function; the leaf is a traditional diuretic and bitter spring green; and the flower has its own folk history in wines, teas, and foods. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health notes dandelion’s long traditional use for a variety of purposes while being clear that scientific evidence for specific uses remains limited — which is exactly why this tincture is presented honestly, as a traditional whole-plant preparation.

Suggested use

Shake well. Adults: take 1–2 droppersful (about 1–2 mL) in a little water or under the tongue, up to 3 times daily. Start at the lower amount and see how you respond.

For reference, traditional references commonly describe dandelion root tincture (1:5) amounts of 2.5–5 mL taken 3 times per day.

Caution & disclaimer: This product is offered for educational and traditional purposes only. It has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Avoid dandelion if you have an obstruction of the bile duct or intestines, gallbladder inflammation or infection, or an allergy to the Asteraceae (daisy) family; the leaf’s diuretic action means people taking diuretics, lithium, or blood-sugar medicines should talk with their doctor first, as should anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
