Description
Dandelion Root and Leaf herbal tincture by Rhodes Herbs — from seed to shelf, grown and made in small batches. 1 fl oz (30 mL), made with alcohol.
About this herb
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) is unusual in herbal practice because the whole plant is used — root, leaf, and flower — and this tincture brings together the root and the leaf, the two parts herbalists reach for most. The root has been used for centuries in Western herbalism as a bitter digestive and liver-support herb, and the leaf has a long tradition as a gentle diuretic “spring tonic” and bitter green. Health Canada’s licensed monographs recognize traditionally prepared dandelion for stimulating appetite and helping relieve digestive disturbances such as indigestion and feelings of fullness. Combining root and leaf in one bottle reflects how herbalists have historically used the whole plant rather than a single part.
Suggested use
Shake well. Adults: take 1–2 droppersful (about 1–2 mL) in a little water or under the tongue, up to 3 times daily. Start at the lower amount and see how you respond.
For reference, traditional references commonly describe dandelion root tincture (1:5) amounts of 2.5–5 mL taken 3 times per day.

Caution & disclaimer: This product is offered for educational and traditional purposes only. It has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Avoid dandelion if you have an obstruction of the bile duct or intestines, gallbladder inflammation or infection, or an allergy to the Asteraceae (daisy) family.
