About this herb
Dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) appears in Native American, traditional Arabic, Mexican, and European herbal medicine. The root was a classic spring “tonic” — traditionally used for the liver and kidneys, to build appetite, for minor digestive complaints, and as a gentle diuretic.
Suggested use
Shake well. Adults: take 1–2 droppersful (about 1–2 mL) in a little water or under the tongue, up to 3 times a day. Herbal references also list dandelion root tincture (1:5) at 2.5–5 mL, three times a day.
