The questions people ask Rhodes Herbs most, answered plainly. Anything else — use the Contact page.
Where do your herbs come from?
Every herb Rhodes Herbs sells on this site is grown from seed by Jeffery Rhodes El in Beaverton, Oregon, and harvested and processed by hand. That is the rule of this shop: if it is here, he grew it.
How do I take a tincture?
The suggested use is printed on every bottle: one to two droppersful, under the tongue or in a little water, up to three times a day. Start at the low end and see how your body answers.
How do I pay?
At checkout you can pay with PayPal, or with Cash App to $livefoods. Cash App orders are confirmed personally by Jeffery once the payment lands, and then your order is prepared and shipped.
How much is shipping?
A flat $10.00 anywhere in the United States, no matter how many bottles you order.
Can you make a blend that is not in the shop?
Yes. Custom blends are a Rhodes Herbs service — blends made to what a person needs, wants, or likes, including herbs that are not listed in the shop. See the Services page or ask on the Contact page.
What is the hair mineral testing service?
A small sample of hair — eight to ten strands, about an inch — can show what minerals your body has been getting too much of, or not enough of, over roughly the last six weeks. Rhodes Herbs uses that picture to build a personalized blend, and after six weeks to two months you retest and adjust. It is an educational service, not a medical diagnosis — always talk to your doctor about medical questions.
What is a planter box, and how does my household get one?
Rhodes Herbs helps households put a raised herbal planter box in their own yard, planted for that household. The family waters and tends it; Jeffery harvests and processes the herbs and gives finished products back to the household. Donations help fund boxes for families who cannot afford one. Ask on the Contact page.
What happens at a Rhodes Herbs tea party?
Once a month the community gathers — first on a video call, and at in-person tea tastings in Beaverton — to taste herbal teas, learn, and talk. Each table tries two or three teas with add-ins like lemon, lime, honey and flavored juices, with a printed sheet explaining how each add-in changes the cup. The heart of it is health, mental health, communication and connection.
Are the teas and e-books really free?
Yes. The dandelion teas e-book on this site is free, because the knowledge comes first. Take it, make the teas at home, and share what you learn.
